April 12, 2005 — People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and PETCO
Animal Supplies, Inc. today announced an agreement that will advance animal
welfare across the country. PETA will end its campaign against the national pet
food and supply retailer and PETCO will end the sale of large birds
in its stores.

Landmark Bill Protecting Baby Parrots Goes into
Effect
Sacramento, CA — Precedent-setting legislation that protects young parrots in
the state will go into effect on September 1, 2004. The Animal Protection
Institute (API), a national animal advocacy organization, sponsored
Assembly Bill 202, introduced to protect young parrots in the pet trade. The
new law requires that parrots be weaned (able to eat on their own) before
release from a pet store, swap meet, or retail outlet, and that pet shops must
have at least one employee trained in the care and feeding of young birds.
California is first state in the nation to regulate the sale of unweaned
birds.

May 29th, 2004 - WSA participated in the annual RDCBS bird fair. We had
visits from some of our current and new clients at our booth -- a good time was had by all!
We also had our first parrot competition where we won 1st and 2nd place ribbons
in the novice division.

Elementary School.

& WingSpan Aviaries invited to
present at Joyner Elementary School.

May 24th, 2003 - WSA at the annual RDCBS bird fair at the NC
State Fairgrounds.

May 30th, 2003 - WSA invited to present to 4th/5th grade students at Briarcliff Elementary.
We want to educate and inform people of the importance of learning about these wonderful animals
especially prior to and after acquiring them!
